The third offering from Brisbane/Meanjin's Stack, “Wicked Speaker” comes on all Davey Jones pre-Ziggy, both in lyrical tone and free spirit of musical adventure.

There is much to take in as the layered production unfolds, it’s an alluvial seam, rich in colours, treasures encased and ready for the listener’s pickaxe to chip away at so that they reveal their true forms. Wicked Speaker is in Stack’s own words, "a wicked little tune, ought to be enjoyed by all you wicked people"

Wicked people place wicked little spells.
There’s twenty of you sounding one single alarm, so I know.
It gets to sound like twenty little service bells,
I don’t doubt that the ancient bird had her show.
